You should have co-worker playing the customer ask as many questions about the product as he can. When you are finished, go over the sales session with the person that critiqued you.

Also, take turns playing each character, playing the customer can give you a great perspective on their point of view. After all, when are you ever the customer buying products from your company? Never!

Use the Product This is perhaps the best way to get to know a product. To actually own, have, and use the product, not only gives you the ability to know it inside and out, you will also be able to tell your customer that you have and use the product, and how wonderful you think it is. This will enable your customers to see how much confidence you have in your product.

One of the worst mistakes a sales person can possibly make is to be unprepared.

So spend some time to know your products. You should make learning about your products enjoyable, and make sure to concentrate more on those that you aren’t familiar with yet.
